The training we deliver is for our clients only and it’s based on what we know works in real-world construction and property environments
If you’re looking for an approved course from IOSH or ROSPA, we don’t do this for good reasons. Need first aid, asbestos awareness, harness, manual handling or other specialist training? There are plenty of providers out there who specialise in those. That’s not us.
Could we cobble something together? Probably. But should we? No. Because just ticking a box isn’t our style, and it shouldn’t be yours either.
We focus on the training that matters most to our clients – where it’s not just about compliance, but about competence, confidence, and culture. The stuff that actually changes behaviour and improves standards on site.
Most of our training sessions are completely custom made for the client
Take a recent example: we worked with a highly specialised modular bridge manufacturer and installer.
Their team knew temporary works inside out but also knew they had blind spots. We’re not bridge experts, but we know a thing or two about temporary works.
So, we worked with them to co-design a training session that hit the mark. No generic overview of scaffolding or hoardings just tailored, relevant content.
Was it more work to develop? Yes. But what’s the point in sending seasoned professionals on a generic course that misses what matters? It wouldn’t land.
Or another example – construction management.
A client came to us struggling to apply CDM sensibly within their model.
The reality is that on a busy site, contract obligations and health & safety can sometimes feel like they’re pulling in different directions.
Sure, H&S trumps contract law but that doesn’t mean it’s easy to navigate. That’s where we came in.
We developed a focused session on how to practically apply CDM 2015 in this context – balancing compliance with commercial reality.

CDM Awareness Training
CDM 2015 applies to every construction project big or small.
All too often, teams only find out what they were meant to do after something happens.
Our CDM Awareness sessions are about getting ahead of that. We custom make them to your duties and your setup, so whether you’re a client, designer, or contractor, we walk through what’s expected, why it’s important and how it actually works in practice.
This isn’t a list of regulations to be memorised. It’s a demystifying, jargon-free conversation about roles, responsibilities, and risk, so that your people leave clearer about what they’re doing, not more confused.
We show how CDM helps projects run smoother and safer when everyone’s on the same page.
Fire Warden Training
Fire’s not the time for confusion or crossed wires.
In those first moments, your people need to know exactly what to do and why they’re doing it.
That’s what we give them.
Our Fire Warden Training gives your team the skills and confidence to act fast and calm. We cover duties, evacuation protocols, and how to spot risks early, plus hands-on experience with systems and equipment.
But just as importantly, we make it site-specific. If we’re in your locations, we’ll walk your routes. We’ll point out common issues and those specific to your sites, making it real to you.
Your people will know their role and feel ready and confident to step into it.
Health & Safety Awareness Training
This one’s a foundation session.
Everyone on your team has a part to play in keeping themselves and others safe. But most people don’t know the detail of what the law actually expects of them or what their rights are.
Our general H&S Awareness sessions strip it back to the essentials. We’ll answer the common questions:
- What’s your legal duty, and what’s your employer’s?
- What are the common risks in your type of work?
- What should you be asking if something doesn’t feel right?
We make space for your team’s real questions so they get the context, the risks, and the confidence to lead (not follow) on safety.
Director and Senior Manager Awareness Training
This session is less about the fine details of compliance.
It’s more about leadership, showing the role H&S plays in building a business that’s “resilient, responsible, and respected”.
We know H&S can feel like a thorn in the side when you’re juggling budget meetings, delivery targets, and multiple projects.
That’s why we built this training workshop specifically for decision-makers.
It’s run by a Havio Director, and it’s designed to give your senior team the insight, confidence, and practical ideas to lead from the top.
We cover the commercial, legal, and reputational risks of getting H&S wrong but also the huge performance benefits of getting it right: fewer delays, fewer claims, stronger teams, and yes, safer sites.
Construction Fire Safety
Fire risk in construction is a different beast entirely from a finished building, and needs its own approach.
Our Construction Fire Safety session is designed for contractors, site managers, and anyone overseeing temporary works.
We explain your duties under the CDM Regulations and the Fire Safety Order, and help your team understand their role in controlling these ignition sources, planning safe escape routes, and keeping temporary protections in place.
We also look at high-risk phases (like during fit-out or remediation in occupied buildings) and how to manage fire safety during transitions.
We’re not talking about the occasional fire drill here, it’s about embedding day-to-day behaviours that prevent fires starting in the first place.
