Principal Designer Services
The CDM Regulations identify that a Principal Designer can be an organisation or individual who is appointed by the client (commercial or domestic) to take the lead in planning, managing, monitoring and co-ordinating Health and Safety of a project involving, or likely to involve, more than one contractor.
This key duty has been a central part within all the generations of the CDM Regulations, and it is what we excel at. Since the introduction of the revised Construction (Design & Management) Regulations in April 2015, we have adapted our CDM Compliance service to meet the demands of the Principal Designer role, and the needs of our Clients and their different contractual approaches. Our focus is to work closely with Clients, Developers, Design Practices and Principal Contractors, to provide a bespoke service that delivers unexpected added value.
Havio can provide the following Principal Designer related services:
Principal Designer – Directly appointed by the Client under Regulation 5 and assisting the Client and other duty holders with the discharging of their duties.
Principal Designer – Through a 3rd party appointment, directly employed by a Design Practice or Principal Contractor to deliver Principal Designer duties.
Principal Designer Adviser – Provides the appointed Principal Designer with strategic support on the delivery and compliance with the CDM Regulations. The Principal Designer still retains the liability for the delivery of those duties.
Client Adviser – Provides the Client with strategic CDM compliance advise across all their duties. We will provide a simple road map for compliance and offer support with ensuring other duty holders.
CDM Compliance Services
