Yes – The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 states that the “Responsible Person” must ensure that a Fire Risk Assessment is completed focusing on all “Relevant persons”.
Responsibility lies with “The Responsible Person”. In the workplace, this is the employer and any other persons who may have control of any part of the premises e.g. the owner or occupier. There can be more than one responsible person E.g. In a multi-tenanted office there may be more than one responsible person.
In most cases this will be the local fire and rescue authority. However if you occupy a crown occupied/owned premises this will be inspected by the Crown fire inspectors.
Following our visit we will complete our findings in a Fire Risk Assessment report. The document will be supplied with a prioritised action plan which, if fully acted upon, will ensure the “responsible person(s)” meet their legal obligations and work towards compliance and/or best practice. The report will be sent to you within 72 hours of our visit via PDF along with a copy in the post.
We offer 90 days free support from the date of the Assessment in which we can assist you with any queries.
