Yes – The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 states that a fire risk assessment must be completed for the communal areas of flats and for houses in multiple occupation (HMOs)
The “Responsible Person”. Typically the responsible person is the freeholder or landlord but may be a residential management company or a right to manage company.
This would usually be the local fire and rescue service.
Following our visit we will complete our significant findings in a Fire Risk Assessment report. The document will be supplied with a prioritised action plan which, if fully acted upon, will ensure the “responsible person(s)” meet their legal obligations and work towards best practice. The report will be sent to you within 72 hours of our visit via PDF along with a copy in the post.
